SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: BRISBANE STYLE
It's the first official school holidays for the kids and I, so considering my apartment is not nearly big enough to warrant more than a couple of hours at home, I wanted to make this the most fun and memorable school holidays that I possibly could.
Week one was an absolute success, even though when I ask Madi what she did last week, she could only remember the last thing which was "watch Odd Squad" which is what she was doing at the time that I asked her that question. Kids.
So I want to share with you how to make the most of those little balls of energy while the school holidays are in full swing. Brisbane has HEAPS going on right now!
PETER RABBIT @ THE MOVIES
This movie was funny as hell and the kids absolutely LOVED IT (so did I!).
The kids sat through the entire thing, Max even fell asleep in my arms and had a good solid nap halfway through.
Also, check out the Bunny Pop-Up at Portside Wharf where you'll find face painting, petting zoo and colouring in for the kids (all free)!
CURIOUS AFFECTION @ GOMA
This exhibition was definitely a great starting point to some creative conversation from the kids! Each piece had one of us saying "oh wow" then having a conversation about what everything was. We had some very funny chats.
Heaps of kids activities to do too!
TIP: Try to get there earlier in the day if you can!
Cost: $40-50 (for the exhibit)
Parking: $16 flat rate at Library
$5 TACO DAY @
CHEEKY POKE NEWSTEAD
Ever tried sushi in a taco?
Seriously, they're life changing.
Madi and Max both devoured one each, then tried to get their hands on mine.
Take the kids for a treat lunch on Tuesdays as they're only $5 each.
Cost: $5 each (on Tuesdays only!)
