There are 2 things that hurt like an absolute mofo after having a child:

1. Sex
2. Pooping

But the age old question is...

Which one hurts more?

Yes, it really does hurt more. I've done my research.

You see, I've come to a conclusion that you can stop once sex starts to hurt, but when you gotta poop, you gotta poop.
For the first few weeks after having Max, my body was actually scared shitless (pun intended) to go to the toilet.
When I had to go, it was the most excruciating experience that I've ever gone through apart from childbirth. It's actually like having a baby but out of the wrong bum. I'm not kidding.
I had a full episiotomy with Max, so I wasn't expecting anything less.

Sex on the other hand, I thought we could get away with if I was under the influence of alcohol just so if there was any pain, I couldn't feel it. However, it didn't really go to plan considering my body no longer likes alcohol & after 3 little drinks, I get hungry & don't want to chance being hungover the next day, so I stop.
We tried, we failed, but with sex, as soon as it gets painful, you can stop.
Drew might get extremely frustrated, but hey, he's the reason I got pregnant & had a baby in the first place.

I will be happy when our sex life gets back to normal, but it will probably take many attempts for that to happen.

Let's just say, it's been 8 weeks since Max was born, & going to the toilet has only just become a relaxing experience again.
